Campbell Furlong

As a Partner in the Hawke’s Bay Private Business team, Campbell is passionate about helping his clients to achieve their objectives, solve their problems and realise their plans. He does this by investing time to build trust and understand what’s most important to his clients. Campbell believes in taking a team approach, which means his clients get access to a broad range of the very best advice and service available.

Campbell’s clients span a variety of industries and range from small to large within the Hawke’s Bay private business sector where he works alongside his clients to assist them with their accounting and taxation compliance obligations as well as in an advisory capacity.

While Campbell is of Ngāti Porou and Ngāi Tahu descent, he has lived within the Ngāti Kahungunu rohe for most of his life and has a real passion in working alongside Māori entities to help them achieve their goals and aspirations for today and future generations. Within Hawke’s Bay, Campbell and the Manukura Māori Business team are recognised by local East Coast iwi, hapū and whānau as the advisors of choice.

With a strong farm accounting background and understanding the changing world of accounting for both PwC and our clients, Campbell is positioned strongly as the Hawke’s Bay office’s Lead for our Agribusiness and Cloud Accounting Solutions strategies. Hawke’s Bay born and bred, Campbell is focused on helping Hawke’s Bay be the best province it can be.

Before joining PwC, Campbell was a professional cricketer and played over 100 games for the Central Districts Cricket team as well as representing New Zealand A, Academy and age group teams. He also spent time in London where he worked in the banking sector, before coming home and retraining to be an accountant.

Outside of work, Campbell loves to holiday in Mahia with his wife, Jan, and three children – twin boys and a daughter – with most weekends taken up as a supporter and/or coach of their various sporting teams.
