Nathan Jones

Nathan is a Partner in PwC’s Private Business team, working with small to medium sized businesses to deliver a full range of business advisory, financial and commercial services.  He has a wide range of business skills developed in the commercial and chartered accounting fields since joining PwC in 1998.  Nathan is passionate about helping clients grow, developing plans and working with them to ensure successful implementation.

Nathan effectively acts as the CFO for a number of businesses of various sizes. His core business and financial skills complement his entrepreneurial, market driven perspective and practical common sense approach.  Nathan also specialises in providing strategic, financial and management advice for public sector clients throughout New Zealand, and he takes an active role in the financial operations of these entities.

As a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants, Nathan has held a number of governance roles on boards and committee’s for various incorporated societies and non-profit organisations. In 2015, Nathan participated in PwC’s global leadership development programme.

Hailing from the South Island, Nathan finds balance in his life by enjoying numerous outdoor activities including; running, cycling, kayaking, adventure racing and cricket.  In recent years, Nathan has competed very successfully in a number of races in Australasia including numerous top 10 finishes in the multisport World Championships (Coast to Coast).
