Our services

Establishing a business

We can advise and assist with establishing a business in New Zealand, including registration with the Companies Office and Inland Revenue as well as preparation of company constitutions.

Company’s Office regulatory requirements

We can assist you in dealing with all of your ongoing New Zealand Companies Office compliance matters. These can include statutory filings, proper maintenance of your statutory register and records, advice on routine requirements, and best practices of corporate governance. We can also facilitate directors and shareholders meetings and draft relevant minutes or corporate documents.

Monthly management reporting

We are able to process all transactions and prepare monthly (or bi-monthly) management reports tailored to your specific requirements. This may include profit and loss, balance sheet and cash-flow statements, bank reconciliations and other supporting documents.

Payroll and GST returns

We are able to process monthly payroll payments and prepare GST returns to be lodged with the IRD.

End-of-year solutions

We can prepare high-quality financial statements (NZ IFRS, reduced disclosure requirements, etc.) with a clear audit trail. We can also compile audit documentation and coordinate the annual audit, if required.

What’s more, we can assist with annual income tax compliance, such as preparing and filing your annual income tax returns and tax accounting (including financial statement disclosures).

Acquisition and restructuring assistance

In addition to tax and accounting advice, we also offer project management and stakeholder liaison to ensure a smooth and successful process during an acquisition or restructure.

Strategic planning

We can facilitate an annual strategy workshop with you to develop a clear picture of where your business is heading and its key strategic objectives

Budgeting and forecasting

We can assist with developing an annual budget aligned with your business strategy. We can prepare cash-flow forecasts to ensure the business remains cash-flow positive throughout the year.

Cloud optimisation

If you’re not currently on a cloud-based accounting platform, we can facilitate a smooth transition to your chosen platform. Or we can provide assistance with optimising your current cloud accounting platform and help you develop an eco-system of appropriate cloud “add-ons” that automate tasks and add value.

Bookkeeping/accounting services

We can provide bookkeepers or accountants to assist with your data processing, either on or off site. In addition, we can supervise your current team to ensure the function is running smoothly and efficiently.

Virtual CFO

Long term:

One of our lead partners, directors or managers – whoever you choose – will act as your Virtual CFO, but you’ll also have access to our wider team of experienced professionals if needed. Your CFO will be there to support you throughout your ‘business as usual’ months. They can provide monthly financial advice, review financial reports and meet with your finance team either in person or over the phone. However you choose to work with them, they’ll really get to know and care about your business.

Short term:

We can provide CFO support at very short notice – someone with financial best practice experience. A PwC partner, director or manager can be seconded to your business, working on your premises or virtually from our office, providing a safe pair of hands to help you through a time of considerable change.
